Positive Thoughts

  • O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:8

Right Now. Today.

  • This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind... let it be something good. Author Unknown

i promise to be a better blogger....

Img_2438_3 ...especially since it's summer.

We had such a busy week. Lot's of activities. Parks. Tiny Tot's. Swimming. Just want the kid's to enjoy this weather. This was also Father's Day weekend. We had a nice quiet time at home with just the immediate family. We ended up having to get a new TV our old one decide that color was no longer an option and of coarse this happens after the 5 year warranty ends, so goes life! So it was a Happy Father's Day for all of us.

Casting Crowns

"Voice Of Truth"

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves

To step out of my comfort zone
To the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He's holding out his hand

But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again. 'Boy, you'll never win!'
"You'll never win"

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant
With just a Sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again "boy, you'll never win!
"You'll never win"

But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don't seem so high
From on top of them looking down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
Singing over me

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

School, Me!

Img_2063_1This is the statement I've been hearing from my baby ever since his brother and cousin started the winter session of Tiny Tots. I got him on a waiting list for a class but we weren't the first one on the list so I tried to get him into some kind of class any class because I couldn't take him being so sad on days his brother left for school.

Thank God we got a call this past week stating that a spot was available... I guess they couldn't get a hold of the person ahead of us. So today my baby became a big boy, grabbed his backpack and headed on into class as if he has always been there.

My Big Boy. I'm so proud of him!

Happy New Year Ya'all!

Started off a little bummed this year... alot of stuff going on and some just seems to be overwhelming. So yeah for Mondays! For some reason starting the week off with a new attitude always seems to work...

So here we go, things I want to accomplish within the next 6 months.

6 months fair goal right?

  • lose at least 20lbs of my icky baby fat or get pregnant which will cancel out the first.
  • ORGANIZE my home!!!! Either put it away or throw it away. Feeling ruthless!
  • Remodel the downstairs bathroom.
  • Complete Kid Chaos' Closet and finish decorating his room.
  • Find a big boy bed for Mana.
  • Scrap and/or Journal more. Just want to remember these days.
  • Plan a cruise with my husband.

So there you have it. We'll update this list periodically in hopes that it all gets done by June... then we'll make a new one. We'll call it the Get 'ER Done List.

Much Love and Happy New Year!

Power In Prayer

  • Lord... Bless those who are pregnant as they make way through their last trimesters. Bless Pop as he learns to adjust to life after a stroke. Please let him know that there is no humiliation in leaning on family, it's just our turn. Lord I lift up Teresa and her family as the deal with a great a loss, that of her mom. Let her lift her eyes to you Lord and let her know that you are walking with her now. Thanks you Lord for bringing our church together last weekend to gather in fellowship outside of the church at what I hope will be a yearly family retreat.
